What this site holds, and what it refuses

CardSwipe has not launched, so the only personal data this site handles today is an email address you choose to give it. The app's own commitments are on no bank login.

This website

Your email address, if you give it
Submitting the early access form stores your address so we can email you once when access opens. It is held with our hosting provider's managed database (Upstash) and sent through an email provider (Resend). It is not sold, rented, shared with partners, or used for anything else.
Nothing else, by default
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, runs no analytics script, and embeds no third-party widgets or social pixels. Our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Removal, whenever you want it
Reply to the first email, or write to hello@cardswipe.app, and your address is deleted from the list.

The app, when it ships

These are design commitments for the iOS and watchOS app, published before launch so they can be held against the thing we actually release.
The cards you name
You type the product names of the cards you carry. That is a list of products, not accounts: no card numbers, no expiry, no CVV.
Merchant location, used and dropped
Location resolves the store in front of you so the widget can name a card. It is used to answer that question and is not kept as a history of where you shop.
Never a credential
No bank username, no password, no one-time code, no bank token, no transaction history, no balance, no credit score. CardSwipe support will never ask for any of them, for any reason.

If this policy changes before launch, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions go to hello@cardswipe.app.
